“The 2018 Grand Père Pinot Noir comes from the same vineyard at 1,120 meters in altitude in Villa Bastías in Tupungato as the Grand Mère, but this comes from very stony soils that have an important limestone content. So, there's more austerity here. The wine is only 13% alcohol, and it's stonier (like the soils), with very fine and chalky tannins, pungent flavors and an ethereal texture. It fermented with 20% full clusters in oak roll fermentors and matured in barrel for 18 months.” 92 Points, Wine Advocate
